Rite for Boundary (Orbios)

Gaulish Polytheism

Boundaries are significant for the safty of our homes and land. This small rite is for creating a boundary to protect you and yours. The safty of what is within our boundaries is very important not just in the physical reality but also in the mental realities of the self.

People carry all kinds of energies without knowing we push and shed these energies to others, which can affect us significantly.

We will be using the Runos Orbios from my Ueletorunoi and the guidance of Sucellos to help aid us in the creation of this boundary.

When I was creating the Ueletorunoi, Orbios was the first that was created. It is very much about protecting that which is inside. And it was fitting as I was making the system. Sucellos is connected to this Runos as he is a protector of boundaries. Those are physical boundaries or metaphorical boundaries. He is the protector of the fields and crops from the wilds of nature, that being the creatures or even the people.

You will only need to do this once for your dwelling, land, or other places you would like to protect from outside forces.

What you will need.

  • Four small pieces of oak wood could be a small stick.
  • Hammer
  • If you don’t live in the area to do the above or don’t have the materials one can stand at the anchor points and visualize Sucellos driving posts into the earth.
  • This is a symbolic gesture, mimicking the actions of Sucellos.

The Rite

Cleanse your self

  • Go to the Are (East). May this small piece of wood represent one of the supporting anchors for Orbios, the might boundary of Sucellos.
  • Go to the Dexsiuos (South). May this small piece of wood represent one of the supporting anchors for Orbios, the might boundary of Sucellos.
  • Go to the Eri (West). May this small piece of wood represent one of the supporting anchors for Orbios, the might boundary of Sucellos.
  • Go to the Tutos (North). May this small piece of wood represent one of the supporting anchors for Orbios, the might boundary of Sucellos.
  • We are marking off our boundary showing Sucellos the placement we would like Orbios to be.
  • Enter the Medios (The Middle).
