Atîr Raton (Generous father)

Deep within Dubnos (Underworld) sits, Sucellos, with his great mallet in one hand and an overflowing cup in the other at his feet lays his hound guarding the gates of Antumnos (Otherworld). He shakes the earth from within as he slams his mallet down, shifting and bringing forth gifts from within Dubnos.

Some say we all are decided from his workings within Dubnos, rising from the darkness into the light of Sonnos (Sun). He is our father from which we came.

Friend to the common folks, teacher of the ways of shaping the land under our feet, Protector to the land for which Nantosueltâ gives, and Destroyer to those that would do us harm within our boundaries that he showed us how to make with his grapes of plenty.

Hammer: Protection, creating, renewal, destruction.
A Pot/Olla/Barel: Providence, feast, wealth, celebration
Dog: Underworld, guardian, loyalty, companion.
Raven: Divine messenger, deep mysteries, wisdom, light.
Grapes: abundance, transformation, fertility.

Matîr marâ (Great mother)

At the end and beginning of the soul’s birth into the body, Nantosueltâ is there with her great house on a pole as her ravens fly around at the well of Dubnos and taking our hand as she guides us into the light of Sonnos and the blooming valleys at our exit. Out from her cornucopia pours the waters of renewal that bring life to the gifts from within Dubnos.

Our great mother brings life from the darkness. Giving us prosperity in life and guiding us in death. She has gifted us the knowledge of domestic living, gifting us prosperity and well-being, and teaching us the ways of life and death. One can hear her voice in the winds flowing over the valleys and rivers.

Raven: Divine messenger, profound mysteries, wisdom, light, ancestral memories, healing, a transformation of difficulties into blessings, change in consciousness.
Dove – Ascension devotion, divinity, holiness, sacrifice love.
House – Secure foundation, the self, domesticity.
Saucer/ Pot– Providence, feast, wealth, celebration, abundance.
Cornucopia – abundance and nourishment, symbolizes perpetual replenishment in both the mental and spiritual realms.
